Installation-Revisit the place

The Impermanence of Clouds.

The idea of the installation derives from the demolish of Tanglin Halt. Tanglin Halt was one of the first satellite towns that were set up following the population boom after WW2. The installation brings back the good old memories from childhood.

The physical setup includes dead leaves to be placed in the centre of our installation. In addition, we brought in a fan to make the leaves sway and twirl around. The visistors could hear the rustling sound. Lastly, we turned on the projectors and played both our videos and audio tracks.

Some memories are imperishable but impermanent, they come and go. All the words and memories are kept inside the "cloud".

One of the interviewers talks about his childhood memory in Tanglin Halt, and let us take a photo of him holding a piece of dead leaf.
